The second day at work, my ass!

ars_longaMy, what a day I had today. A bunch of students got scared like shit after first one or two classes and run to the tutoring center in hope to suddenly comprehend everything.
When some of them understood that I'm not a magician and certainly am not going to whip up a miracle for them two of them just begun crying. One I managed to calm down and she even understood something in the end... the other one was so panicked that she just run out without listening to anybody...
That's scary. We probably need to have a psychiatrician on site.
Both were black, by the way. I noticed that very few A-As make it to the end of semester usually... they just panic and drop out of the classes. For two semesters that I was working there most of our clients at the beginning of a semester were A-As, but in the end there were mostly whites and Latinos left. And how am I supposed not to draw conclusions?
